Energy Positive IT 2.0
An information system for intelligent power management for future eco-districts.
Status : Complete
Budget : 7.000.000€
Funding : Fonds Unique Interministériel
This project has been certified by three competitive clusters :
EPIT 2.0 aims to create an open-source information system to help steer power and carbon footprint management services in eco-districts. This system will provide for the secure, real-time management of clean energy resources (mini-wind, solar, biomass, geothermal and incinerators) and of power storage and distribution infrastructure (battery arrays, compressed air, electric transportation, etc.) in the eco-district.
Simulation models (replicating production, consumption, storage and behaviors) will be developed. These will chiefly be based on energy optimization and forecasting software, distributed to the different energy resources and with the potential for large-scale rollout in the form of “system of systems” architecture.
This innovative mechanism is being designed for all types of service “aggregators,” such as planners, developers, infrastructure operators and users, energy service companies, etc.
